O V E R V I E W
The DeFi Report is a data-driven publication providing research reports and business model analysis on public blockchains and the Web3 tech stack. Founded in 2021 by entrepreneur Michael Nadeau, it sets industry standards, driven by his deep passion for understanding disruptive technological innovation.
Logo
The initial color palette for the logo and brand features a soothing lilac and a warm black. While the client expressed interest in incorporating the original logo's pink hue, they were open to exploring various options. Ultimately, this blend of colors was selected. The symbol, depicting a signal, reflects the Founder's emphasis on data-driven research aimed at filtering out external noise. This signal icon serves as the website's favicon and is also associated with their podcast.
Wireframes
This is a wireframe of the home (research) page, a simple article page and the subscribe page. In addition, this can be interpreted as one of the user flows.
Article Thumbnails
The heart of the website is research articles that educate the subscribers. Because of the heavy information, we identified different tags to better organize the articles and with that, we created a design system. Below is the ideation sketch and the 9 color gradients chosen as well as where logo placements.
